Sebastian Stan delivers a wonderful performance shortly after his phenomenal film
The Apprentice is a standard biopic that covers as much of Donald Trump’s rise as possible. What makes this sound better are the strong performances and stylish filmmaking that make it something more memorable. A supervillain origin story is an extremely apt description for a film whose main ambition is to show how a monster came to be and lost every shred of humanity that was there to begin with.
He nails Trump’s look, mannerisms and bullish personality, and is getting closer and closer to looking like him
performance in Another Man, proving that he is the best actor currently working in and outside of the MCU. Jeremy Strong was born to play roles like this, as he can easily convey a commanding and unflappable presence, and this is not the first time he has done it. Directed by Ali Abbasi, Stan takes the final step in his Trump transformation is horrifying in more ways than one, and uses Kasper Tuxen’s frenetic documentary-style cinematography to bring a lot of energy to the proceedings.

The soundtrack has some suitably lively songs to keep that energy going, and the music by Brian Irvine, Martin Dirkov and David Holmes doesn’t sound like you’d expect it to, which works in its favour.
