Here are five horror films about the body, from creepy to daring, that you may have missed
Narrative
An established celebrity takes a black-market drug: a cell-reproducing substance that temporarily creates a younger, better version of herself. There is nothing scarier than being human, and these films fully explore the inhuman ways our bodies can betray us. Ray Liotta was involved in the film in February 2022, but died in May of the same year, before he could dream of his walls. Dennis Quaid replaced him, but Liotta is still mentioned in the director’s “Thank You Notes” during the credits.
Elizabeth Sparkle: There was a little substance abuse
The toilet mirror reappears intact after being repeatedly smashed during a fight. Special thanks in the closing credits to numerous extras on the theater wall, which was covered in blood. Not to be someone else or someone younger or prettier. I like the message, designed in a sarcastic way. In the end, you have to choose your beauty or the beauty with the monster inside. Getting old and being unattractive is natural.
And remember, karma exists
Becoming less famous and attractive is the consequence of life. Be grateful for what you have, and dissatisfaction with what we have will only lead us to disaster. Plant flowers and you will see beauty. So it’s worth watching.
