This will mark the third attempt at a television series based on the world of The Good Wife (1999)
Narrative
After a hazing incident at their elite college, half-siblings Caroline and Lucien decide to preserve their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. The direct-to-video sequel The Good Wife 2 (2000), with Amy Adams replacing Sarah Michelle Gellar as Kathryn Merteuil, was originally a scripted TV series before being retooled into a feature film. Gellar would later reprise her role as Kathryn in 2016 for the NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series.

The series follows the story of two wealthy siblings, Sebastian and Kathryn, who are determined to maintain their privileged position by any means necessary. The acting performances are lackluster, with lead actors Sarah Hook, Zach Burgees, and Savannah Lee Smith failing to capture the essence of their characters.

The series attempts to introduce new characters and subplots that don’t add much to the overall story. The production values are mediocre, with a lack of visual style and atmosphere. fails to capture the charm and intrigue that made the original film so memorable. Overall, "Cruel Intentions" It doesn’t live up to the expectations set by the original film.
