Non-descript character: Where do you worship?
Narrative
After his release from prison, mob kingpin Dwight “The General” Manfredi is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he builds a new criminal empire with a group of unlikely heroes. Sylvester Stallone’s first starring role in a television series. Dwight and #x27;The General' Manfredi: I don’t really go to church. The opening sequence shows various photographic and painted views and Oklahoma landmarks in the New York landscape: a statue of the Sioux Indian chief, “Touch the Clouds”; wearing a military bonnet and bone necklace (bra) on top of the Brooklyn Bridge.
On CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #457 (2022)
Gold pan sculpture on the LibertyRoute 66 Western Gateway Arch on Manhattan’s Main “Avenue”. In New York, around Manhattan, these are several numbered "Avenues" which are crossed by streets with smaller numbers.. I watched it out of curiosity, I didn’t have high expectations, I was just surprised to see Stallone in a TV series. You can feel the tension in the scenes and it seems quite realistic as much as the plot requires.
I’m glad someone told him how to use Uber, it was funny while it lasted
I wouldn’t say it’s humorous, but there are some funny scenes as a result of Dwight (Stallone) coming out of his 25-year prison sentence and not fully integrating into how the world works now; so I think the sudden transition will be an interesting hiccup for him and for us. It’s a pretty clever script, but not in a very witty way, which bodes well. Sure, Stallone is a huge presence, but the rest of the cast looks really good. The show literally feels like you took gangsters written for an early 90s movie and only dropped them in 2022, giving it a good mix of humor and violence.
I love how these western oats feel sometimes while still being mob
I thought it was just going to be a throwaway show like some of the stallion’s recent movies; mostly relying on his name and performance alone, but Taylor Sheridan does a good job here too with writing worthy of Stallone’s performances. I think it will be fun to watch macho Stallone build a criminal empire from scratch in the middle of nowhere, Tulsa. I think the show will end up going under the radar and then later there will be a bit of an uproar from people asking why they didn’t know about it sooner because I haven’t seen that much publicity from Paramount. I went into it with no high expectations, but if the premiere episode is anything to go by, it should be a really fun watch.
If it continues like this great, if it gets better it will be fantastic
I’ll add a review as more episodes come out and update if anything drastic changes about the show. Check out "Yellowstone" Season 5, Episode 2, "Squid Game" Season 2 of the most anticipated new and returning series and more coming to TV and streaming.
